Better than Cancun!

Sometimes we sit back and think of the things we can't do now that we have Bethany.
Some of those things include: going to movies on a whim, traveling to exotic places, cruising the deep blue seas, sleeping in late, etc. Doing some of those things would be awesome! I have always wanted to go on a cruise and who doesn't enjoy sleeping in late. But the more and more interactive Bethany becomes and the more personality she shows us; the more I began to realize: Bethany is better than Cancun. I am glad we went the family route. She is well worth the sacrifices; the late nights; and the thousands of dollars in day care, formula and diapers!

In the Corner!

Somehow Bethany ends up in the corner of her crib in the mornings. We found her like this the past 2 mornings. She starts off in her sleep positioner in the center of the bed. I have no clue how she ends up in the corner! Crazy Kid!

Like the Primates!

Bethany has evolved! She is using tools now! In her little exersaucer she likes to grab the dolphin toy and bang on the octopus. When she does this with enough force, the octopus lights ups and plays music! What a brilliant little girl!

Busy Weekend!

We have been pretty busy the past weekend and the last few days! We have had 4 folks coming in from out of town to stay with us over night and we had a couple more people come in to visit us during the day recently. This has been keeping us pretty busy and active. Poor Bethany has a hard time keeping up with us. She was just ready to crash for good on Sunday!

My little Cinderella!

I do have to admit. I enjoy Bethany's ability to support her own neck. This had made the whole transporting Baby process much easier. I am also enjoying her *ability* to sit up. Although, she doesn't stay seated for too long (she gets excited and flails her arms about and topples over); it is still fun to be able to plop her on the ground knowing she will be okay.
We recently bought a new cd *yes, we still buy cd's*! It is Steven Curtis Chapman's new Christmas cd. It is great! It has one song that really touches our hearts. It is called "Cinderella." I encourage you to listen to it and think of your own little goobers! The first time I listened to it, it put tears in my eyes. I love Bethany a ton and do cherish our time with her. Here is a link to the song: Cinderella.

Playing with the Snowmen!

Passing of the Binkies!

Bethany met a new friend Friday night. Addie (2.5 years old) gave Bethany all her binkies Friday night. We met with Addie and her parents (Bob and Janie) at a restaurant. Janie has been working Addie up to giving Bethany all of her binkies for a few days. So Addie proudly gave up the babyish Binkies. She was very proud in doing so. She proclaimed that now she gets to buy a "big girl" toy on Saturday. It was really cute. Addie was proud of her self, until it was time to go. Then she announced that those were "Addie's Binkies! ADDIE'S BINKIES!!!!"

Poor, Bob and Janie. I hope they got *some* rest Friday night. I am sure that was a tough night on them. But I am glad that Bethany was able to be a part of breaking Addie's binkie habit.

Something Ain't Right!

Seriously, something here isn't right...and I think it goes beyond the fact I have pants on my head. I am sure there is something not quite right with those parents of mine!
Who does this to their child?

Doing Better!

Bethany has been doing better. She sounds as though she is getting rid of some of the congestion. She hasn't been sleeping the best at night, though--so that has been a tad bit difficult on us. We opened up some of her toys she got at our baby showers she really does enjoy exploring the toys and figuring them all out.
