A Dog That Doesn't Bark?

Grandma stopped by on Saturday to let me see Shadow. I thought it was a dog at first, but it didn't bark. Grandma said it's called a "cat." Wow! I learn something new every day! Grandma loves Shadow a lot! Here's a picture of us together, and one of me petting the dog... er... cat.

Eatting in the Living Room?

Today I got to eat in the living room while watching Sesame Street.

Everything was removed from the Kitchen, Bathroom & Laundry Room. Mommy & Daddy said we are getting a new floor in there, as well as in the 2 bathrooms upstairs! This is super exciting!!!!! I know Mommy has hated the WHITE, STAIN, TORN floors for 2 years now. It is GREAT to get pretty new ones. It should be done in 3 days!

Change me!

Bethany likes to get out a diaper. Lay it on her blanket that we change her on. And she'll lay down, looking at us waiting. She then looks at us like, "I'm ready...what are you waiting for! Fools, get down here and change me!" However...the trick is...if you aren't fast enough at changing her, she'll flip over and try to dart away from you butt-naked! CRAZY BABY!

A few weeks ago we had a photo shoot with Abbie! She finished processing the pictures and they are up on the web. Use our last name as the password. They turned out pretty good! Enjoy!

A Pointlessly Puffed-up Pool!

Mommy huffed & puffed and fill up my swimming pool with the very air from her lungs. She then hauled it outside & lugged the hose all the way around the house. She filled the pool while I was impatiently watching. She got us both dressed in our swim suits which is a chore in itself! Finally the pool was filled to an acceptable level, we stepped inside it and played. 30 seconds later (literally...30 seconds later!) I was ready to get out! Poor Mommy looked like a fool sitting in her swim suit in a kiddie's pool in the front yard! Sucker! I had a great time throwing things in the pool like a gigantic wishing well! However, I did have a great time playing around the pool. Perhaps one day, I will play in the pool!

Day 3 Without Mommy

Well, Mommy wanted me to post again, so here it is. While this picture is from the other day, it shows me playing with the mailbox and blocks Grandpa M. gave me. It's from when he was a kid... so it's ancient! Of course, Daddy had to catch me with a goofy look on my face.

A Bus!

Daddy is helping me on this post today. It's his first one on this blog. Don't tell Mommy! Yesterday, we got this Little People bus at the toy store. It's fun to play with! Although I'm carrying it here, I do know how to push it across the floor.

I hope you had a great Father's Day Daddy! I wanted to take this time to say "Thank You" for everything. You always know how to cheer me up when I was a little grouchy. You always make up awesome songs about me! You have learned how to dress me so that my outfit coordinates with each other & so that mommy approves. You always make sure to clean up after me. You are the bestest Daddy in the world. You feed me all my morning bottles! I love you lots!

Birthday Party!

It was a great day at the park!
The "incident." We were just trying to get a picture taken with the cake. I got a little curious & went in for the cake! I got a nice hand print in the cake! The icing ended up all over me...but worst yet...it was all over Mommy's outfit, too! Glad Mommy chose red icing!!!

Ma & the Doctor's Office

Ma!!!! There! I said it. Maybe Mommy would stop being so sad that I haven't said Ma yet. So, Wednesday morning, after Daddy got me up, I walked into Mom & Dad's room and surprised her by saying, "Ma!" as I was looking for her! She was very excited to hear it!

Doctor Visit: We went to the doctor for my 12 month appointment on Monday. Here is what we learned from our visit. First off, I received my stats:

• Head: 19 1/2 inches---95th percentile


• Weight: 20 pounds-----50-75th percentile


• Height: 29 1/2 inches--50-75th percentile

We also learned that shots still hurt! I got 3 more. Man they are a pain, literally!!! But I'd rather have shots than chicken pox and the mumps that is for sure.

Finally, the doctor decided that my right eye isn't going to clear up by itself...if it hasn't done so already. So, she referred me to an ophthalmologist. So we will see him in July to see what he can do to get my eye from always being so junky! It will be nice for people to stop asking me why I am crying...it is just my leaky eye! It always leaks!!!

A New Baby & Other Birthday Suprises

Finally, I've had time to post pictures and details from Bethany's Birthday.

The day started out with a couple of Bethany's favorites. We had biscuits at McDonalds for breakfast. Then after a short nap, we met Grandma & Grandpa C. for lunch at Pizza Hut. I love pizza!!

When I got up from my afternoon nap, Grandma & Grandpa M. had arrived. We got to open presents. I got lots of good stuff....dino land, books, xylophone, and even one of grapndpa's old toys...refurnished by him!!!
We then went out to dinner at Red Robin's & some crazy folks came around and sang to us! We then came home for cake!!! Yummy!!
The celebrations carried on to Sunday as we went to Great Grandpa's for ice cream cake and more presents! Here I got a new outfit, some gerber yummies, a book, a couple sets of blocks and a new baby! (which brings us to the title of the post!)
As you see, it was a great birthday celebration! I can't wait until my official party this weekend!!!!!!

OMG!

I organized Bethany's clothes this past weekend. She officially fills 3 large (purple) Rubbermaid tubs full of clothes. Everything is nice and organized now...1 tub per age group (nb-3mo, 3-6mo, 6-9mo). Please pray that the Milles Family will have a troup full of girls to get good use of these clothes...or perhaps pray for any future sons...that they will look pretty in pink!!! :-)

Now & Then

Now:

This is after our bike ride today. We were both a little hot & tired. She didn't want anything to do with her sippy cup. She took great interest into my water bottle. Those bike rides are pretty tough when we go up hills. But pulling her doesn't really seem like that much more work.

Then:

There Bethany was one year ago today. I was 2 days away from our delivery (unbeknownst to me). Two of the three due dates the doctor gave me had sadly passed. I was doing all the tricks I've heard to get this baby out!!!!

It is pretty amazing if you think about it. We didn't know a thing about little Bethany. We didn't know if she was she or he. We still were working out the names. We didn't know she was going to spend all her time in the special care nursery & spend extra days in the hospital. We didn't know she was so allergic to cows milk & all dairy. But most of all...We didn't realize how much a baby would bless & enrich our lives. We are truly honored to be Bethany's parents. I have cherished every one of these 364 days that have passed thus far!

I went swimming for the first time this weekend at Great Uncle Mark's & Great Aunt Jeannies! It was super fun. Okay...I guess it wasn't really swimming it was more like floating around. Nevertheless...it was a GRAND OL' TIME! ;-)

New Car Seat!

Mommy got my new car seat out this week. Finally, I can sit facing forward like a first-class citizen! Mommy couldn't figure out how to get it all to work, so I took the instruction book & figured I would offer my expertise! Eventually, we got it all done! ;)
